iCare Aircon was founded in 2016 by James Tan and Sandra Lim, who had each spent over a decade inside the Singapore HVAC trade. They had seen the same pattern repeat: customers calling for a quick fix, getting a vague estimate, and being handed a much larger bill once the unit was off the wall.
The fix was simple in principle: write the quote down before any work starts, never use solvents that aren't NEA-permitted, and back every job with a 90-day warranty plus a free 7-day follow-up check. We turned that into the operating manual — and held to it through every weekend emergency, every condo MCST coordination, every chemical overhaul on a coastal-facing unit.
